February 13th, 2014 - Chad Stapleton Motorsports kicked off their version of the 2014 season on Monday evening at the 38th Annual Winternationals with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series. (Rick Schwallie Photo)

The first round of the Winternationals drew 44 entries however, Chad's night came to a very early end after a broken oil cooler during time trials caused him to miss the call for his heat race. The #32 Rightway Construction/Barry Wright/Jay Dickens Racing Engine Super Late Model will return to action on Tuesday night for round #2 of the week-long event.

Another disappointing night for the Stapleton Motorsports crew during Round #2 of the East Bay Raceway Park Winternationals. Chad started in the back of his heat race and was unable to make up any ground, finishing tenth, and forcing him to run a B-Main. Stapleton was unable to make the transfer through the B-Main, ending his night early.

The Stapleton Motorsports team returned to racing on Thursday night at East Bay Raceway Park after Wednesday night events were postponed due to inclement weather. Chad started ninth in his heat race and finished ninth, putting him a B-Main for one last chance to make the $7,000-to-win feature. 1September 28th, 2013 - Bub McCool piloted Chad Stapleton's #57 Barry Wright Super Late Model at Knoxville Raceway (Knoxville, Iowa) on Thursday evening in the opening round of the 10th Annual Lucas Oil Knoxville Late Model Nationals.

Seventy-two entries entered the program, and via qualifying McCool earned the 3rd starting spot for his heat race. He would go on to race his way to the heat race win, which positioned him starting 13th on the grid for the feature event. In the 25 lap, $7,000-to-win preliminary feature McCool mounted a great charge as he advanced to a 5th place finish behind race winner, Josh Richards, Darrell Lanigan, Jason Feger, and Dale McDowell.

After his solid performance on Thursday evening, Bub stood solid in the points for Saturday's program, and as a result the team decided to experiment with setups in Friday's program. Seventy cars returned for action, and and struggles with the handle in time trials left Bub starting 9th in his heat race. He advanced to a 7th place finish in his heat, which sent him to the pole of the C-main. Struggles in the C-main found him slipping to a 6th place finish, and with only the top four finishers moving onto the B-main McCool's night came to an early end.

Via his preliminary night performances Bub locked into the 16th starting spot for Saturday night's, $40,000-to-win finale. As the 100 lap feature went green McCool began battling the handle on his entry as he slipped back in the field. As a result he would retire from the event to a 30th place finish in the event's early laps.

1September 21st, 2013 - Chad planned to take part in a pair of Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) events over the weekend in Kentucky and Indiana, but Mother Nature had other ideas as rained nixed the annual Ralph Latham Memorial at Florence Speedway (Union, Kentucky).

As a result the team entered a single event as they participated in the $15,000-to-win, 34th Annual Jackson 100 at Brownstown Speedway (Brownstown, Indiana). Forty-six entries converged on the 1/4 mile oval, which was left rough by rain the night prior. Heat race action found Chad falling short of locking into the feature, but a 3rd place finish in his b-main transferred Stapleton to the 22nd starting spot for the 100 lap finale. He would go on to advance seven positions to finish 14th in the final rundown.

Full results from the event are available at www.LucasDirt.com.

As a result Stapleton started 10th in the feature before retiring early to a 17th place finish with an ill-handling car.

In the second feature Chad started in the 17th spot via his performance in the first 50 lap feature. He would go on to advance to a 12th place finish.

1September 7th, 2013 - Bub McCool piloted an MSR Mafia-themed entry owned by Chad Stapleton Racing over the weekend at the 43rd Annual World 100 at Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio). (TheSportsWire.net Photo)

On Thursday evening 112 entries participated in the opening program, which saw the field divided into two $5,000-to-win events. Bub started his night by earning the pole position for his heat race via qualifications, and he made the most of the opportunity by rocketing to the win to lock into the pole position for the 25 lap, preliminary feature. Jeep Van Wormer snagged the lead at the drop of the green flag, and McCool would challenge for the top spot on a couple of occasions before settling for a 2nd place finish behind race winner, Van Wormer.

Friday night found the field again split in half for a pair of $5,000-to-win events, and the team would try a setup that just didn't work, and as a result Bub fell short of qualifying for the feature.

On Saturday evening the finale for the prestigious event was held at the 1/2 mile oval, and via his qualifying night performances as well as an invert of six McCool started on the pole of the third heat race. After near disaster on a few occasions due to chaotic racing Bub would finish 3rd to lock into the 15th starting spot for the 100 lap, $46,000-to-win finale. McCool went on to enjoy a great run in front of the capacity crowd of over 23,000 as he raced to an 11th place finish.

Full results from the program are available at www.MolerRacewayPark.com.

Saturday evening found the team pitted at Brownstown Speedway (Brownstown, Indiana) 1for the annual Hall of Fame Classic, and Chad started the night by registering the fastest lap of the 34 entries on hand. From there the night went downhill as Stapleton jumped the cushion on the first lap of his heat and fell as far back as the 6th position before rebounding to the 3rd spot, when hard contact from another competitor knocked him out of the event. However, rain would soon arrive nixing the program and resulting in a complete reschedule.

The weekend drew to a close on Sunday night at Twin Cities Raceway Park (North Vernon, Indiana), where the Ted Collins Memorial posted a $2,000 top prize. Heavy rain from the night prior left the track extremely rough, and as a result Stapleton retired early in the feature to save his equipment. The feature rundown can be found at www.twincitiesracewaypark.net.

1August 16th, 2013 - Friday night found the team entering the 8th Annual Ike Moler Memorial at Moler Raceway Park (Moler, Ohio), and it would prove to be a frustrating night as a broken oil pump belt ended their night early.

Thirty-one competitors registered for battle in the $5,000-to-win event, and after qualifying 7th fastest Chad finished 2nd in his heat race to lock into the 10th starting spot for the feature. Unfortunately early in the feature the oil pump belt broke, which caused a motor failure. Stapleton would retire to a disappointing 23rd place finish.
